Jessica Ennis-Hill was born on 28 January, 1986. She is a British track and field athlete. Currently, she is the Olympic heptathlon champion and a member of the City of Sheffield Athletic Club. Ennis-Hill was a world indoor pentathlon champion and European heptathlon champion. She was a British recorder in the high jump and the indoor pentathlon! Jessica Ennis is mostly known for her record in the heptathlon.
She is born in Sheffield. Her parents are Alison and Ennis Powell. Jessica has one younger sister, called Carmel. Her mother is a social worker and her father is a decorator and painter. At the age 11, Jessica joined the City of Sheffield Athletic Club. Her coach was Toni Minichiello.
Jessica won gold medals at the: 2012 Olympic Games in London (heptathlon); World Championship in 2009 in Berlin (heptathlon); 2010 World Indoor Championship in Doha (pentathlon) and in the 2010 European Championship in Barcelona in heptathlon. She won silver medals in: 2011 World Championship in Daegu (heptathlon) and 2012 World Indoor Championship in Istanbul (pentathlon). She also won two bronze medals on; 2005 Summer Universiade in Izmir (heptathlon) and 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne (heptathlon).
Currently, Ennis lives in Sheffield, she is married to Andy Hill. They married in 2013, and since then, Jessica has been known as Mrs. Jessica Ennis-Hill. In 2014 this couple got their first child, a son Reggie. She likes watching TV series like: Heroes, 24, Sex and the city, Big Brother and Smallvile. Ennis is the Jaguar Academy of Sport’s ambassador and a patron of the Barrie Wells' sports foundation and Sheffield Children's Hospital charity.
