American Football VS Soccer

There are various ways of scoring a point in American football right from catching a pass above the base line and carrying the ball above the base line to tackling a player in his end zone and  kicking the football through the posts of the opposing team. When the game ends the team with the highest score wins the match.

American football is played in many countries other than America like Sweden, Australia, Germany, South Africa, Japan, England, Netherlands and Mexico.The first ever American football game was played on November 6, 1869 between Rutgers and Princeton.NFL Europa was the development league of the NFL which operated from 1991 to 1992 and then from 1995 to 2007. American football can be seen in the starting stages of soccer and rugby. Whereas soccer was first played in England in the mid of 19th century where the ball had to be ran over the line or kicked into the goal. Both American football and soccer consists of 11 players each. There are certain terms that are similar in American football and soccer like fullback etc. But in reality American football and soccer are quite different from each other.

 Walter Camp is called the Father of American Football because of his contribution in the success of the game.He made various changes in the rules such as the rule of down and distance etc.In the late 19th and the early 20th century College Football became very successful and today over 70,000 college athletes take part in this game every year.
